Home A Link To The Past Walkthrough Page 1

The Beginning

You start the game off in bed receiving telepathic messages from Zelda. These will happen quite frequently in the games beginning. After your Uncle leaves the house, go down to the lower right of the house and open up the chest. This contains the lamp, which of course is needed for various lighting. Exit the house, head down to your right and go up. When the path forks, go to the right, and follow it all the way to the front gate of Hyrule Castle. Proceed to your right and follow the stone passage until you see a bush before you, lift the bush and jump inside.

Hyrule Castle

After Link makes his triumphant leap into a pit of water, Link finds his Uncle, dying. He gives Link the Sword and Shield, then teaches him a technique. After he dies, follow the path through the door. There is the first enemy to fight, a transformed castle guard. Hit him twice and he is dead. Do the same with any other green guard you find. Open the chest and there will be five rupees. Yay! The staircase will lead you outside of the castle, and work your way to the front doors. Proceed up and take the door at the bottom right. Follow the red carpet three screens, and head down the important door. The knight is the same as his green friends, just an extra hit is involved, and when defeated will drop a key. Open the chest to get the Dungeon Map, and go through the locked door. Move through the path while being careful not to fall off, until you reach a section with a bridge. Ignore the first two staircases that you see, and go through the door. It will take you a another knight, defeat him and enter the right door. After obtaining the key, you will get the boomerang, which is not actually a very useful item at this point. Go back to the room on the left, up the staircase, and through the door. Keep heading down and kill the first knight.

Mini Boss Ball and Chain Trooper

He can be approached in two ways. Either take the pots in the first cell and get close enough to throw them at him, or you can dodge his ball, and go in for a sword attack. If done sword wise, he will take eight hits to kill. When defeated, he will drop the Big Key, which can be used to open Zelda’s cell. After speaking to her, opening the chest next to her will get another five rupees.

Hyrule Castle - With Zelda

Proceed all the way back to where you came from until you get to the bridge, where you can either take the two staircases, or stay on the floor to continue. Once you reach floor 1F, go to the right and follow the red carpet once more. After listening to Zelda, move to the middle of the room, and go straight up. Continue until you reach the King and Queen seats, and an ornamental shelf. Push on the left side of the shelf all the way and head through to get to the sewers. Pitch-black describes the next room, of which you can choose to light the candles at the left and top of the screen.. Kill any rats that are really annoying you, and take the steps down. There are snakes in the next room, which personally annoy me more than bats, and head down once more. On the right there is a key that you need to get from the chest. Proceed through the doors to the left and top in these two rooms. There is a rat that you need to kill who is hiding a key. He is usually found in the upper-left corner of the left side of the room. Head past the wall that we will be able to bomb later, and you will reach some blocks. Push the one in the middle top the top, and make your way through. Proceed past this next room and into the room that has two switches. The one on the right opens the door, and the left releases some rats, which you can do if you go for if you like a challenge. We have finally reached the Sanctuary. Zelda will tell you about Sahasrahla, who will help you with the east palace. Open the chest to your left, and head out.

Over World

At this time you cannot do a lot, but you can do one thing in this area. If you follow the path left until you reach a tree, head up along an ending path. Near it you will see a lone bush, and if you take it out, then jump in, you will find a Great Fairy. This Fairy will restore your health just like most fairies will. Whether you do this or not, head left along the path until you see a Wooden Frame which of course marks the town of Kakariko Village.

Kakariko Village

First piece of information that is important to everyone, if you some villagers that are not in buildings will run away and tell a guard that you are here, which in turn then you will have to fight that guard. Anyway, when you enter the village, head down and enter the red building. If you talk to the old lady, she will tell you that Sahasrahla is not here. Fear not, and don’t be mad at me, for there are lots of essentials here. First, head down and enter at the back of the second blue building. (The long one) You will find a bottle in a chest, which is used for storage. Move up to the building in front of you, and there is a very sick kid inside. He will give you a Bug-Catching Net. This is needed to catch any fairies that you find. If you head to the north-western part of town, you will find a cave and a well. Head above the cave and jump in the well. Inside you will find 3 bombs, 80 rupees, 4 hearts, and a piece of a heart. If you head directly east, you will find a green house next to Sahasrahla’s that is known as the Thieves Hideout, in which you will find 3 hearts, 111 rupees, and 1 piece of heart. Now head down and to the right of the owl statue, where you will find a bottle salesman, who if you have 100 rupees, will sell you a bottle. By, now you should have two. Go all the way to the right and you will find a red house, enter it. Now pull the Mario picture and 20 rupees will come out. Move down to the one building, and over two buildings. If you go inside this last building, and bomb the cracked wall you will find twenty rupees. Below this building is a Shop that will sell you Medicine of Life for 150 rupees, a heart for 10 rupees, and 10 bombs for 50 rupees. To the left of this building is a storage area that holds 4 bombs, and 3 rupees. All you have to do is bomb the bottom wall. If you take the bottom exit of Kakariko Village, and jump down to a building, you will find inside the Treasure Chest Game. You play by paying him 20 rupees, then opening one of the chests. You can find 20 rupees, 50 rupees, or 1 rupee. Go to the house on the left, if you bomb the wall, then go outside, there is a game you can play. If you complete it in under 15 seconds, you’re prize is a piece of heart. WOW! Told you that was long! Onto the East Palace!

Over World

Take the path from the Treasure Game House and it will lead you back to Link’s House. Keep taking the path right, and you will reach a bridge, take it, and then take the path right again. Above the trees there is a Great Fairy if needed. If you head up and all the way to the right, you will reach a staircase, ignore it and head down. In the area there is a circle of stones and a cave. The stones we will deal with later, but go inside the cave. There are some fairies, use the bug-catching net to catch them. Head back up and all the way to the right where you started from. Head up to find 7 statues, then to the upper-right, and down. There is a house there which is occupied by Sahasrahla. Talk to him. He will ask you to get the Pendant of Courage from the East Palace. Before you leave, bomb the upper wall, where there are 100 rupees, and some bombs! Exit the building, and go all the way to the right. There is not direct way for this so find the best way that suits you. Eventually you will find the East Palace, which if you still need to do something do not enter. If you are all ready, enter.

East Palace

Start off by picking up the pot near the middle door. Press the switch and enter. Kill or avoid the enemies in here, step on the switch and enter once more. This next room has rolling balls in it, many small but some big, use the alcove to let them pass. Once you get to where the balls come out, head left. At the end of this path you will find 112 rupees! Head back and enter the door at the top of the staircases.

In the next room go right first and step on the switch by the pots. Enter the top-right door and you will find an anti-fairy. Using your Magic Powder, you can turn it into a fairy. The main objective though is to lift the pot in the middle and step on the switch. Inside of the chest you will find the Dungeon Map.

Jump off, head up the stairs, and out two rooms. Now take the path right. Once you enter four skeletons will appear, kill them all and head through the top. For a reward you will get the ever so needed Compass. Use the stairs and the door to find a Telepathic Tile of which you can use to contact Sahasrahla, who will just tell you about the hidden item.

There is a secret way that you can get six fairies. To the right you should see two cauldrons, go above one and jump into it, you will find three fairies! Do this with the other cauldron if you need more. Continue right in this room, and down in the second. The next room is pitch black with two Anti-fairies. Moving fast, head to your right and step on the switch. The door behind you will open, enter it. The pot in the upper-right corner has the key you need. Take it, exit out, and now use the door and the left. It will lead you across a bridge to a room full of enemies.

In here you have to kill all of the enemies except the Anti-fairies. You should know all of the enemies except one, the Eyegore. For now all you can do is swing the sword and throw pots at him, but we will get a special weapon that will deal with him. Once you defeat them the Anti-fairies will scatter, lift the pot and step on the switch. Your prize is the Big Key. Use it to open the door in front of you, and head back to the room with the big treasure chest. Once you open it you will get the Bow and Arrow.

Immediately four skeletons with shoot able heads will descend upon you. Either kill them, or run away. You can also use this weapon to shoot the Eyegores. Take the door by the staircase with the Big Key symbol. There are two Eyegores, and some wigglers in the next room. Defeat the them, obtain the key, and head through the door on the right. This room holds some rupees and Anti-fairies. After that, head back out, and through the left door.

The pot on the bottom left holds the key. Smash, obtain, and exit. Three Eyegores stop you in the next room, defeat all of them. There is a switch that you need to press on under the Eyegore at the bottom. This next room is a little bit tricky, it is all about dodging. If you can dodge them, press the upper left switch to escape. Kill the Eyegore and skeletons in this room. In case your wondering, the area on the floor before the door just says the boss is near.

Kill everything in this room, and heal because it’s time to face the Armos Knights.

Major Boss: Armos Knights

These guys like to move in formation, so they shouldn’t give you too much trouble if you figure it out. Take out the first five Knights with your Bow and Arrow. When there is one left, he will constantly try to crush you. All you have to do is dodge and shoot until he dies. You will get a Heart Container and the Pendant of Courage for your troubles.

Overworld

Make your way back to the building that holds Sahasrahla. Show him the Pendant and he will give you the Pegasus Boots, which are used for dashing, and tell you to make your way to Lake Hylia.

Great Swamp/Lake Hylia

Make your way back to the Danger Zone area, and head south across the bridge. Keep heading south and you will reach the Lake Hylia area. You can do one thing here. Go to the right and stock up on Red potion, hearts or bombs.

Head out and follow the path to the left. Follow it all the way back to the Treasure Game House, but keep following the path up until you reach the Library. Dash into the left bookcase, and you will get the Book of Mudora. This is used to read the Ancient Hylian language. Take the path back to Link’s House, and go down. This area is known as the Great Swamp.

I would like to warn you that it may not seem like there are very many enemies in here, but they are all hidden in the grass.. Start of by heading down until you reach a sandy area. In a few steps it will get narrow, head up after this and bomb the cracked wall. Inside there are some Mini Moldorms that need defeating. You will like me for showing you this, for in the back are 340 rupees. Keep all of the rupees you can until after this next dungeon, because you will need 500 of them.

Follow the path until you get back to grass. There are two things you can do here. First, bomb the wall to get the Ice Rod. This freezes some things and hurts others. You will use it very soon. Outside go in the other door and catch a golden bee. You can use these to release upon some enemies to distract and hurt them. As soon as you are outside head back to the Swamp.

Continuing left will get you to a stone building surrounded by water. The chest holds some bombs if you need them, otherwise continue. If you do get the bombs, exit and re enter. This will make the blocks will be reset. Pulling the switch on the right will release the water, and the left will release the bombs. (Choose the right one) You will find that the water is gone and a Piece of Heart is now yours to take. Also, if you catch a fish and bring it back to the bottle salesman in Kakriko, he will reward you. The path to the left will lead you to the Desert of Mystery.

Desert of Mystery

Once you see the arms of an octopus in the sand head up. You should reach a cave which has a Piece of Heart inside. (P.S. If you’re confused, bomb the wall across from him.) Exit, then make your way right until you reach a tablet. Use the Book of Mudora to see what it says. Link will make his wish, and the door will be open.

Desert Palace

As you can see already this place is all about sand, and a lot of enemies use that to their advantage, so remember that. Go to the beamos statue, which cannot be killed, and head left. Break the pots, follow the path, and enter the second door on the left. Dash the torch to get the key and exit. Enter the next room on the right. Press the switch under the pot, and open the chest to receive the Dungeon Map.

Keep following the path on the right and advance through the locked door. The chest once again contains the compass. Defeat the wrigglers to open the top door. Do you best to make dodge the balls in this next room. If you do you get the Big Key. Move back to the first room you entered with the four torches, but keep going one more door. One of the top left pots holds a switch to press. The next room holds the Power Glove, which is used to lift those pesky with stones that seem to be everywhere.

Exit out the other room you went through, and keep going down to the last door. You can exit through the door at the bottom, or push the left block down in the left side of blocks to find a room full of fairies. Once outside, follow the path down to find a Piece of Heart. Head back up and use the Power Glove to lift the stones.

Push the middle block on the right side to open this door. This is the first room that you have to deal with tiles. They will keep attacking you for a while, but they do have an end. The bottom right jar holds the key. Head across the bridge and defeat the next four enemies. This next room is somewhat of a challenge, just dodge the lasers, and lift the right middle pot for a key. In the next room the key is now in the upper right corner. Defeat the Red Eyegore, and light the four torches to the reveal the entrance to the boss.

Major Boss: Lanmolas

This is where the Ice Rod comes in handy, it makes very short work of these guys. If you do run out of magic, you can also you the sword, arrows and/or bombs to kill them. Be careful to watch out for the flying rocks when they pop out of the ground. Rewards once again include a Heart Container and the Pendant of Power.

Overworld

Now you need to head to the direct opposite corner of Hyrule. But first there is one more place you can go if you don’t have 500 rupees. There is a tombstone in the top right corner of the graveyard that you can push after you pick up the stones. This will take you to the bomb able walls that we passed in the sewers. Inside are bomb, hearts, arrows and 300 rupees. Now you need to make your way up to the Witch’s Hut. Take the path right, and now you can lift the huge boulder blocking your way.

Follow the path until you reach the water. At this point you need to follow the white that you see in the water, until you reach a Zora. When you get to the fork that splits into three parts, take the middle one. If you pay him 500 rupees, he will give you the Zora Flippers, and allow you to use the whirlpools that by now you should have seen.

After you Link receives them, head straight down, you should reach a waterfall. Take it, and head left after you swim. Don’t take any other waterfalls! You should reach a forest with a Piece of Heart. At this point Link should have 8 hearts. When you reach the point where you travel on land again, head to your left, and then up. Thee is a waterfall you can enter, and if you throw you shield and boomerang into the water, the fairy will upgrade them. The new shield will now protect you against fireballs.

At this point you can choose to take the whirlpool by the partial circle of stones. If you do, you will be deposited by a cave that holds a Fairy. This Fairy will upgrade your capacity to 50 bombs and 70 arrows, if you donate enough money. (P.S. You will need at least a couple thousand rupees to complete this.) If you bomb the east wall, you will find a fairy fountain too.

Which ever way you go, you need to get back to Hyrule Castle by using the river, for under the bridge is a man who will give you a free bottle. After that, make your way to the whirlpool that is in between the Fortune Teller’s House and the Sanctuary. Do not jump, head up. Keep going until you reach a higher area to your right. Lift the stone and enter the passage.

Death Mountain

It will lead you into a pitch-black cave, which has bats, many holes, and one lost traveler. This is the path you need to take. Right, down, up and right. You should reach an old man who has lost his lamp. He will accompany you the rest of the way. Follow his directions and you will be out of the cave.

At his house, he will give you the Magic Mirror. This mirror is used to teleport between Light World and Dark World. Enter his house, and he will restore your health. The path at the back will take you higher up. In the second room go down twice and the exit will be visible.

Use the upper-left path to reach a set of stairs that will take Link even higher. Once Link reaches a boulder in his path, head down and jump off. Link will fall onto a ledge with a cave that leads to a Piece of Heart. Make your way back up to the boulder and continue east. Link will reach a circle with a portal in the middle, use it.

This is what is known as the Dark World, and if you haven’t used the Mirror yet, then this should be pretty new to you. In this world, the basic landscape is mirrored, with a few minor changes. You will also notice that Link is a pig, this is because he doesn’t have the Moon Pearl yet. Don’t worry, you’ll learn a lot more very soon.

Move left and when you are in one of the brown spots or “eye”, use the Mirror. By the way, this is known as Spectacle Rock. You will be taken back to the Light World, and receive a Piece of Heart. Jump off at the back, and go east. This building is known as the Tower of Hera.

Tower of Hera

Blue and pink blocks dominate this palace. If you ever do get stuck, use the Magic Mirror to return to the entrance. Start by hitting the block in the middle, and entering the staircase on the left. Defeat everything and get the key. Make sure the orb is on blue before you leave. Move Link in between the red and blue blocks, then shoot the orb to make it red. Head up and get the Dungeon Map, then go down the left staircase. This room is of particular hatred, because there are more tiles to dodge, and very little room.

In the room with the four torches, of course light them, but do it very quickly because they will go out. Doing this will reveal the Big Key. Make your way back up to the third floor after. The three enemies in this room can be defeated with the sword, but it’s easier just to hit them into the holes. Make sure in the next room, you step on the star switch. Make your way across this room, and hit the orb. The compass is in the next room, once obtained go to floor five.

When you enter this room head over and up, you will see three diagonal holes, and if you enter the third one, you will find some fairies. Otherwise step on the switch and enter the hole east of where the door is. Make sure it is from the top though, or you will mess up. This is the Moon Pearl, and it protects Link from turning into a pig. After, head up to the top floor to face Moldorm.

Major Boss: Moldorm

Moldorm is a very annoying boss for most people, mainly because of the huge holes.. Try your best to get around him and hit his tail. If you do fall through one of the holes, then go back up and fight him again.

Overworld

Before we enter the Lost Woods, there is one more Piece of Heart we need to get. To the left of the Sanctuary on a cliff is a pile of rocks. Dash them and you will find your Heart Piece.

Lost Woods

Using any entrance you would like, make your way back to the spot where you found the Mushroom. Take the log above you, and the one following. Take the following top log to reach the Sacred Meadow.

Sacred Meadow

Head past all of the cute little animals, and pick up the famed Master Sword. Once you do, you will receive a message from Zelda that she has been kidnapped and taken to the Castle. Do the same thing, kidnapped or not.

Hyrule Castle

Take the left path this time, and instead of following the red carpet, take the staircase. Once outside, head left and break the barrier guarding the door. This room is your first boss times two. You should now be able to defeat them a little easier though. In the maze room, there are three candles that you can light if necessary, and a key in the middle right. Work your way over there, and then to the bottom right door. There isn’t much I can tell you how to do but try your best, and watch out for pits. When you do reach Agahnim’s magic show, he will obliterate Zelda and then disappear. Follow him by cutting the middle curtain.

Major Boss: Agahnim

He has three main attacks. The first is lighting, which, if he uses, head to the top of the room to dodge. He only uses this when he goes to the top of the room. The second is fireballs which you just need to avoid. The third is a move that is later used in most other Zelda games. When he shoots his blue energy ball, hit it back at him six times and he will be no more, or so we think…

Dark World

With one last desperate attempt, Agahnim will draw you into the Dark World. All I can say is Yikes! Before we head to the Dark Palace, I need you to do two things. First head down two levels of the Pyramid, then jump off the ledge to the right of statue. Right once more, and a Piece of Heart will be waiting. You should now have ten hearts. Head back to the waterfall where you got your shield and boomerang powered up. Throw a rock into the circle of stones nearby, and Link will receive the Quake Spell. This is actually needed to enter Turtle Rock.

Dark Palace is in the exact same spot that the East Palace is. Make your way through the hedges to that spot. But before you get there, you will meet a cute little monkey who would like t10 rupees, so give it to him. When you do get to the palace though, you will find the door is locked. The monkey will open it as long as you give him 100 rupees. Good thing we don’t have another pit stop, because then he’d want 1000 rupees.

Dark Palace

Instead of heading straight, this time head to the left. Once you get downstairs, statues will start shooting at you. If you haven’t dealt with them before, all you can do is avoid them. Step on the switch in the bottom left, get the key, and head back up. Get back to the entrance and now we need to work the East Wing.

Use the tile to get to another room, and I know your first instinct will be to use the other tile, but bomb the bottom wall first. Be careful to only bomb the wall, and not to bomb the hole, or else you will lose valuable life. The creatures in this room are Goriyas, and are common in this dungeon. The green will mimic your moves. The red will mimic and shoot fire. The trick is to shoot an arrow, then move up or down to move the creature in front of it. Once you are upstairs, get the Dungeon Map, then bomb the two walls. The right holds fairies, and the left holds a key.

Make your way back to the entrance room, then go straight. At this time you cannot defeat the turtles, so ignore them for now and head right to the middle of the bridge. Bomb the crumbled section and jump down. Stay along the raised path for now, and get the Big Key. Now jump down, raise the skull and get the next key. Make your way back to the room with the two bridges, and take the eastern bridge. Push the block and continue to get another key.

Jump across the gap, and take the left path through the locked door. Hurry in the next room because the bridge will collapse. Go through the locked door, and you will get more pitch-black to deal with. Make your way through to the bottom right. There are also some bombs in the upper right if needed. Once at the bottom right, open up the chest to get the key, take the path right above the chest to find a bomb able wall. Behind it is the Magic Hammer which can be used to slam those little moles in the ground.

Work your way back to the bridge, but take the right door. Now you can pound those pesky turtles, and you probably should, it’s good practice for later. Otherwise, obtain the compass, and head down either staircase to find rupees and a key. Get the rupees in the next room, and then use the statue to block the spiked enemy. Head out the door and jump onto the platform, and then hit the switch to the south. After the blue blocks are down, head to the right path. In the next room use the top-right statue for a switch holder. When you get to what seems like a dead end, use what you learned in the East Palace and shoot the Eyegore’s eye.

Use the hammer to hit a mole and kill the turtles, then stand in between the red and blue blocks and shoot the switch. The turtle is challenging, but do your best to get through. Use the tile to warp, and head down the narrow path to the boss.

Major Boss: Helmasaur King

He also has three main attacks. The rush, just move to the side for. Fireballs, which you need to stay clear of because they will divide twice. Third, he swings his tail, move to the bottom-right or bottom-left for if he is at the top of the room, if he is at the bottom, move to the top. The first objective is to break his helmet with the Magic Hammer. Once gone he will become more vicious, and use multiple attacks at once, but strike the green diamond until dead.

Overworld

After listening to the Maiden, use the route that you would take to get to the Treasure Chest Game house in the Light World. Now you can pound down the stakes to progress. Before you get there, you will see flowers above the path that look like an arrow, go in the direction it is pointing to. If you use the Magic Mirror in the circle of flowers and then enter the cave, a Piece of Heart will be waiting. Use the portal back, and go to the arrow again. If you behind it, you will find a forest.

Talk to the pig/man and he will give you the shovel. Teleport to the Light World, and head north-west of the stump. Shovel in this area and you will find the flute. Teleport back and give it to the pig/man. He will say that he can’t play it anymore, and will give it back to you. If you play it for him, he will then for some reason turn into a tree and die.

Continue along the path to where you played the 15 second game. If you play the shovel game, you should eventually find a Piece of Heart in the ground. It is completely random, so I can’t tell you where it is. I don’t think it will help, but I found mine in the bottom left.

Make your way to Kakariko Village. ( Now the Village of Outcasts). Use the Mirror to get to Light World, and then play the flute in front of the Owl Statue. This will release the bird, who will teleport all across Hyrule, but only in Light World.

While you are in Light World, head over to the lower-right corner of the Village. You will find the Smithy Brothers House, but to the right is a peg that you can now smash. Inside the well, sprinkle some magic Powder on the Green Liquid.. A bat will pop out and reduce your Magic. This is actually a good thing because now you won’t use as much Magic at once.

Now go to the Great Swamp to get another Crystal. Before we do though, take the route to the Desert of Mystery, but in Dark World. When you reach the dead end, go inside of the pegs, and use the Magic Mirror. To the left is a Tablet where Link will receive the Bombos Medallion. Now head to the stone structure in the Swamp. Outside, use the Magic Mirror, enter, and pull the water once more. Go outside and teleport once more. This raised the water level inside Swamp Palace, if we hadn’t done this we’d be stuck.

Swamp Palace

Once inside, jump into the water, and take the left stairs. Defeat the enemies to reveal a chest with a key inside. Once downstairs, bomb the upper alcove to find the Dungeon Map. Pick up the fourth skull to find a key. Defeat the enemies in the nest room and once you go down the stairs head straight to find a key in the nest room.

In the locked door room, defeat the enemies, use the Magic Hammer, and push the switch to the left. This will raise the water level. In case your wondering the wall to the left doesn’t hold anything special. This next room holds the Big Treasure Chest I guess you could call it… Take the southernmost room. When you push the block from the other side you will receive a Compass. Now take the western room, head into the canal and get the next key.

Now go back to the Main room and use the northwestern door. Hit the crystal switch and flip the lever, but before you leave make sure your hit the switch one more time. Make your way back to the canal and use the water to continue. Use these blocks to make to the stairs in this room. In the very long room, push the northwestern block out of the way and jump in to find rupees. Now head back up and push the one to its right to find the Big Key. Once Link obtains the Hookshot, use it on the skull to the right, the second one holds a key underneath. Now use the northwestern stairs and Hookshot onto the platform on the right. In the U-shaped room, lift the skull in the upper left, then use the statue to keep it down. Leave via the second door from the right.

Enter the canal, and if you need rupees there are 40 rupees in the south door, otherwise take the north one. Ignore the door ahead, and enter the second waterfall from the right. When you enter the flooded canal room, jump in the water and lift the skull to the right to find a key. Then head west to find the boss.

Major Boss: Arrghus

To actually get to the main boss, you need to take away the puff balls surrounding it with the Hookshot. Once gone, attack the eye with you sword, arrows or the Magic Hammer. Arrghus will also become a lot more vicious at this point and try to crush/ram you.
